Blog Overview

Christmas is right around the corner, and we are in the spirit of giving! We want to allow Knoxville’s youth

to experience the magic of Christmas, as it was given to us. Included are some of our memories from

Christmases past!

Meet The Team

Hello! My name is Emma Conger, and I’m from White House, TN. I am currently a sophomore majoring in

marketing. Some of my favorite things are spending time with my family and friends, shopping, concerts, and

going to the gym! I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of Thrive 5 and to help fundraise for the non-profit Thrive

Lonsdale! Our goal is to raise money to help provide supplies for Thrives' annual Christmas event “Light

Up Lonsdale,” which brings such joy not only to the children at Thrive but to the community of Lonsdale as a

whole: helping to create magical memories for all! One of my favorite Christmas memories/traditions is that

every Christmas Eve my whole family gets together at my grandparents house and we celebrate, catch-up,

and exchange gifts.

Hi! My name is Jenny Fromelt and I am originally from Elmhurst, IL. I am currently a sophomore studying

business analytics and psychology. Some of my hobbies include going to concerts, running, and going on coffee

runs. I love to travel and am always looking to try something new.I am so excited to have the opportunity to help

Thrive bring children the joy of Christmas. One of my favorite parts about Christmas is driving up with my friends

looking at Christmas lights while drinking hot chocolate.

Hi! My name is Alexa Cooper, I am from Charlotte, NC, and I am a junior majoring in Kinesiology! I love hanging

out with my friends, being active, and shopping! I love Christmas time, and I am so excited that I have the ability

to help Thrive by bringing some of the Christmas Joy to the youth in the Knoxville Community!

One of my favorite parts of Christmas is going with my family to pick out our Christmas tree and then decorating

it with lights and ornaments that night! I love putting on cozy Christmas pajamas and watching a movie while

we all decorate the tree together!

Hey! My name is Ellery Whitcomb, I am from Waynesboro, TN and I am a sophomore majoring in Human

Resources. My favorite activities when I’m not at school are hanging out with my friends, baking, and reading.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to help fundraise for the non-profit Thrive and super excited for the future

of our campaign. For our fundraiser we are raising money for Christmas supplies for the Christmas event hosted by

Thrive Lonsdale to help give joy to the children of Knoxville! One of my favorite memories during Christmas time

is every day my mom and I would watch “The Christmas Chronicles” late at night while snuggled up with a bunch

of blankets and a warm hot chocolate in hand (with lots of whipped cream and marshmallows of course)

.

Hello, my name is Isaiah Jimenez, and I am from Piney Flats, Tennessee. I am a junior at UTK studying

business administration and Spanish. My hobbies consist of climbing, mixed martial arts, playing the guitar,

and many others! I am beyond words of gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside Thrive Lonsdale in their

mission to make an impact on Knoxville’s future. One of my favorite Christmas memories was years ago, back in

Piney Flats, playing my entire family in monopoly (of which I won, which might be why it was my favorite). We

may have done our best to take each other’s fake money, but inadvertently we gave each other the best gift of all;

the priceless time spent in one another’s presence, while loving each other.
